What are we excited about…?
Well we're excited about the year we've had. We've seen our scholars in Art and Taekwondo do extremely well this year.We gave out summer prizes for Creative Art, Creative Music and Creative Writing at Larbert High School.
In Taekwondo we created The Kiran Martin Indomitable Spirit Award and The Kiran Martin Trophy. Both are annual awards.
What else are we excited about…?
We started two Art Scholarships at Delta Studios, Larbert. There are also two Voice Scholarships running at VoiceJam, Grangemouth.
We are supporting Ele attend Leith Art School. Ele, who lives in Potobello, had an inoperable brain tumour diagnosed at 9 years old and has had intensive Chemo and Radiotherapies. She is now 21 and has taken on a two year art course, so we are assisting with this.
We are extremely excited about the projects that we'll be kicking off in 2012, but you'll need to wait for our January newsletter for that.
Our final piece of excitement is all about you.
We are more than excited, we are very proud to have your support in these tough times. We've had a successful year and have been able to extend our outreach program all thanks to your generous donations…we can't do it without you!
Thanks also goes to our team of events organisers who have been very busy this year and they are already working on a great program of events for 2012.
It's at this time of year that we think about the circle of people around us and also about those who are no longer with us. Every year someone somewhere misses those dear to them. For us we never stop thinking about Kiran at Christmas…what a lot of fun we had with her in our lives.
All that is left for us to do is wish you and yours a merry Christmas and our hopes for a very good New Year.
From all of us at Kiran's Trust.
We know that some people don't send Christmas cards and give to charity instead.
